GROVE JU-JITSU CLUB
The martial art of Ju-Jitsu traces it's roots back over 2000 years to it's origins in China & Japan. Throughout it's long history, it has constantly evolved and adapted to cope with the changing developments in society. The system we practice is Kaizen Ju-Jitsu. This is a self-defence based, progressive form of Ju-Jitsu incorporating elements of Japanese Judo, Grappling & Thai-Boxing.
The club runs on Wednesday evenings & offers sessions for both children & adults.. The adult session caters for the 16 – 60+ yrs age group and runs on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 – 9.00 pm .
Mat Monkeys cater for children aged 7 until they leave Primary school.
Young Grapplers cater for age group 11 - 15.
Self-defence – Simple, effective, reliable techniques that can be used to defend yourself and others, all applicable to real world situations.
Discipline – Concentration, mutual respect & self-control.
Dedication – How to set goals and commit to them.
Confidence – In yourself & in who you are.
Physical Conditioning – Co-ordination, balance, flexibility, strength, endurance, speed and agility.
Health & Fitness –Cardio-respiratory endurance particularly benefits from the types of training undertaken in the club.
